Leonard Sweet is a speaker, professor and ordained United Methodist pastor. He is known for books like, Quantum Spirituality, and his latest effort, Nudge—Awakening Each Other to the God Who’s Already There.

Simpson notes that Sweet’s background in the UMC helped propel him into a liberal, one-world mindset that shows up in his various books.

Sweet is one of the founding members of the Emergent Church movement. This comes as no surprise because as Simpson points out, in addition to his relationship with leaders of the New Apostolic movement, Sweet’s book, Quantum Spirituality, is full of New Age, interfaith, pantheistic ideas.

Ingrid also noted that Sweet is coming to Wisconsin’s Lake Country Lutheran High School for a professional development seminar that’s being sponsored by the South Wisconsin District of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod.
