BATTLE IS YOUR CALLING

Apprising Ministries reminds you that there’s a very clear and present danger in all of this Protestant evangelical embrace of Counter Reformation Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism (CSM).

Tragically CSM, along with a parallel track running an increase of divination in charismania, lulls many in the professing Christian community into a coma of complacency and into believing the spiritual war between Christ and Satan is somehow not in full flight.

And in this way they willingly lay down their arms and then wander straight into the deadly fallacy of interfaith/interspirtual worship. Men like Doug Pagitt, and Rob Bell with his Love Wins mythology, are already resurrecting the heresy of Christian Universalism within the postliberal cult operating inside the Emerging Church.

More people than you may be aware of in the younger sectors of the church visible essentially believe that at the Cross Jesus Christ somehow already redeemed all of mankind.

They have been conditioned by years of EC propaganda to accept some form of the At-One-Ment, which originated with metaphysical Mind Science cults. This is not a good thing.

Instead of laying our Swords of the Spirit down, the Christian community needs to vigorously attack these things taught by demons, and which, are infiltrating our ranks with increasing rapidity. It’s time for sounding the trumpet and getting ready to fight these deceitful spirits and their teachings of demons.

People need to realize that it’s not yet time for Christians to lay down our arms; to think we can call our watchmen down from the walls, to let down our guard, and live in peaceful times.

As I close this short exhortation to join the fight for truth in these pouty postmodern times, I tell you it was well said elsewhere:

The healthiest man has enough lethal bacteria in him to kill him within twenty-four hours except for one thing-the amazing power of the human organism to resist bacterial attack. Every mortal body must fight its internal enemies day and night. Once it surrenders its hours are numbered. Quite literally it must fight or die….

The church lives in a hostile world. Within and around her are enemies that not only could destroy her, but are meant to and will unless she resists force with yet greater force. The Christian would collapse from sheer external pressure were there not within him a counterpressure sufficiently great to prevent it.

The power of the Holy Spirit is, therefore, not optional but necessary. Without it the children of God simply cannot live the life of heaven on earth. The hindrances are too many and too effective.

So cower no more before these deceivers; and instead, let us boldly ride to the sound of the guns!

Let them know, my brothers and sisters, that this glorious battle for the absolute Truth of our King of kings and Lord of lords is to the end.

With C.T. Studd may we also press on into the fray and say:

Too long have we been waiting for one another to begin! The time of waiting is past! The hour of God has struck! War is declared! In God’s Holy Name let us arise and build! ‘

The God of Heaven, He will fight for us’, as we for Him. We will not build on the sand, but on the bedrock of the sayings of Christ, and the gates and minions of hell shall not prevail against us. Should such men as we fear?

Before the world, aye, before the sleepy, lukewarm, faithless, namby-pamby Christian world, we will dare to trust our God, we will venture our all for Him, we will live and we will die for Him, and we will do it with His joy unspeakable singing aloud in our hearts.

We will a thousand times sooner die trusting only our God, than live trusting in man. And when we come to this position the battle is already won, and the end of the glorious campaign in sight.

We will have the real Holiness of God, not the sickly stuff of talk and dainty words and pretty thoughts; we will have a Masculine Holiness, one of daring faith and works for Jesus Christ.
