DESTINY WORLD OUTREACH CENTER WITH HARLEM SHAKE (CHURCH CHOIR EDITION)

AAC

Apprising Ministries continues our documentation of the falling away of the mainstream Christian community and its various offshoots now being grafted in as syncretism spreads.

Below is the choir of a Word Faith outfit called Destiny World Outreach Center (DWOC) in Killean, TX headed up by Pastor Chad Rowe. To give you an idea how off-track it is, here he is on TBN.

This clip comes from the December 5, 2012 Praise the Lord program hosted by Dwight Thompson, ((http://bit.ly/W6aCOT, accessed 2-21-13.)) so it’s not like DWOC is under the WF radar:

Here I’m just bringing to your attention yet another absurd worldly cultural phenomenon that churches who do not believe in the all-suffiency of Holy Scripture are using to beg people to come to their church.

It’s something called The Harlem Shake:

not to be confused with the hip hop dance style, is the title of a 2012 heavy bass instrumental track produced by Baauer. In February 2013, the song spawned a series of dance videos that begin with a masked individual dancing alone in a group before suddenly cutting to a wild dance party featuring the entire group. A couple of days ago in The Problem with Christians Doing the ‘Harlem Shake’ Christianity Today fills us in further concerning this foolish “new” fad for Christians:

Who knows why such weird, borderline-incomprehensible setups go viral, but here we are, weeks into the age of the “Harlem Shake,” watching Christian college students and church members don wacky costumes and dance like crazy…

Christian organizations have joined companies, sports teams, firefighters, friends, and seemingly the rest of America in the latest YouTube meme, which now numbers more than 12,000 videos and 44 million views. In each version, a 30-second clip of the electronic dance music song “Harlem Shake” plays as a single dancer in a headpiece gets down in front of a group of people, then suddenly, the whole crowd joins him… (source)

In closing this, for now, following is an example of this foolishness from  DWOC of pastor Chad Rowe:
