As Apprising Ministries pointed out in Joel Osteen Helping Mormons “Become A Better You”, the “preaching” of Joel Osteen is so broad and so centered on self that people of other religions will find nothing which would cause them to seek the real Christ of the Bible to save them from their sins.

Now if Osteen said that he was only a motivational speaker I would have zero to say about him. But he doesn’t sat that at all; Joel Osteen makes the claim to be a pastor, and there is no question in this regard that he has followed in the Word Faith footprints of his late father John Osteen. What needs to be clearly understood here is that both Osteens had/have much affinity for the Kenneth Copeland-style prosperity gospel as well as for all of the classic Word Faith heresies e.g. the born again Jesus.
