JOHN MACARTHUR: WHEN GOD ABANDONS A NATION


Rob Bell, a popular pastor in the emerging church, says God is no longer angry. So Apprising Ministries offers this message from Dr. John MacArthur as a corrective counterpoint.

MacArthur’s sermon is based on Romans 1:18-32 and he opens with verse 18 — For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. It’s interesting to note that in the Greek the sentence reads the wrath of God is being revealed indicating God is progressively revealing His wrath.

MacArthur begins:

It is always instructive, it is always enlightening, it is sometimes literally scintillating to turn to the pages of God and see what it has to say and how relevantly it speaks to our time and to our lives. That will be true tonight as we turn in our Bibles to the first chapter of Romans.
