ROB BELL: THE RESURRECTION RESCUE OF THE WORLD IS UNDERWAY

From Christian Research Net an outreach of Apprising Ministries:

They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. (1 John 4:5, NKJV)

In the video clip below emerging church pastor Rob Bell says:

The gospel is that God hasn’t given up on the world…a giant resurrection rescue is underway and that you and I can be a part of it…because God wants to put it all back together–you, me, the whole world. And so He starts deep inside each of us with our awareness that we need help, that we need saving, that we need rescuing…[we] are invited to be the hands and feet of a Jesus who loves us exactly as we are and yet loves us way too much to let us stay that way.

However, the Bible says:

“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind”… “For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled… All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him”…

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God… But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness… Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
(Is. 65:17; Matt. 5:17, 11:27; Romans 8:7-8; 2 Peter 3:10-11; Rev. 21:1)

*Note* The feeble attempt at rebuttal over at a website we in the discernment camp call CRN.(Mis)Info? by one whose pastor is Erwin McManus might now appear as a very telling example of 1 Corinthians 2:13-14 – which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.
