PERRY NOBLE: “I DON’T AGREE WITH EVERYTHING HE SAID SO I CAN’T MEET WITH HIM!”

The other day over at Perry Noble Dot Com Perry Noble creates a straw man to destroy impressively as he shares this bit of new evangelical hostility to proper discernment with his faithful followers:

For some reason there is this arrogance and insecurity among so many Christians that basically says, “If a person doesn’t think and believe and behave the exact same way that I do then I do not want to spend any time with them OR be influenced by them.”
AND…in my opinion…that is the dumbest decision a person can make!(emphasis his)

You could almost hear the applause. One of the men he speaks of wanting learn from is Word Faith mogul and Oneness Penetecostal heretic “Bishop” T.D. Jakes. O those “arrogant,” “insecure” and “dumb” early Christians who denied Christian fellowship to Sabellius for teaching the exact same wrong view of God that Jakes believes. Hint: If one does not accept the doctrine of the Trinity as taught in the Bible he believes in a different god.

Noble anticipates the following question: “ ‘Perry wants to meet with TD Jakes…is he going to begin a woman’s conference?’ ” However, no one is arguing that we shouldn’t “spend any time” with those who have wrong beliefs but it is the job of the Christian, as an ambassador of Christ, to as lovingly as possible try and help correct the wrong belief. What is really “arrogant,” “insecure” and “dumb” are the new evangelical leaders who ignore this mandate, violate 2 Corinthians 6:14 by fellowshipping with Jakes as if he was an orthodox Christian, and then letting him teach them.

And below is another example of the man-centered new evangelical wisdom of Noble when he actually uses “Hell’s Bells” by the very secular rock group AC/DC as the focal point of his worship service and teaching. Note the arrogance in Nobel at the end when he comes on and says mockingly, “110 people meet Jesus today; and if you’ve got a problem with that…show up next week and we’re praying that you will meet Jesus.”

No Perry; we’re praying that you will stop leading people to another Jesus, the one that would supposedly bless that mess. As my friend Jim Bublitz of Old Truth.com asks: “Could it be, even that which glorifies evil can (and should) be embraced by the church to appeal to the multitudes?”
