“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” (Matthew 7:6, KJV)

Too Much Knowledge, Not Enough Wisdom

Let me tell you seriously what I see as one of the biggest problems in the Body of Christ today. It is my conviction that the Lord is trying to show us that His Church has fallen in love with intellectualism and this is among the things He is currently trying to correct by allowing this Gnostic mysticism of Contemplative Spirituality to spread so far throughout evangelicalism. Sadly, at the same time there are so many today who don’t understand logic and just haven’t made the time to develop their critical reasoning skills. And in this confused generation the Devil is very masterfully playing this to his advantage. We have so much knowledge in the Christian community but at the same time there is such a dearth of godly wisdom.

The lateness of the hour necessitates you that understand many of these deceptions are just not going to be able to be definitively proven false as one might do so in a court of law. No, instead we mus take up our Bibles and we are going to have to discern spiritually just who is or isn’t telling us the Truth. We will have to come to believe God and trust Him at His Word when the Great Shepherd promises us – “My sheep listen to My Voice; I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27) And here is the most vital issue of our time. It is summed up nicely in a comment from a reader of Slice of Laodicea concerning Rob Bell:

he is trying to introduce people to Jesus, and he’s being a lot more successful at it than most preachers I know…including myself. Further, I have yet to hear him preach a sermon that is NOT based on Scripture…which he has always studied intently and at length and which he honestly struggles with.

I explained to this person that this exact same thing can be said of a Charles Spurgeon, a Rob Bell, a Benny Hinn, a Bill Hybels, a Roman Catholic priest, a first century Gnostic teacher, a Jehovah’s Witness, and/or of a Mormon. As these delusions continue to grow you are never going to be able to tell the difference between true Biblical doctrine and that of counterfeit Christianity by mere intellectual means alone. Let me remind you that we are in a real spiritual battle against very powerful other dimensional beings who are real, they are malevolent. These hate-filled creatures who serve Satan are out to destroy your faith and along with it you too if they can.

You need to understand that right now we are being sent many spiritual deceptions as this Age grows closer to the end. And if you do not begin to train yourselves with the assistance of God the Holy Spirit to properly discern the Lord’s Voice as you are being taught things about Jesus from the Scriptures, then I promise you in the Lord that you will turn away from the Faith you thought you had and wander off into hollow emerging myths (see–2 Timothy 4:4). Let me tell you that these devious leaders within the Emergent rebellion against the Bible, just as their liberal forebears, know exactly how to make their work look and sound genuine.

Reimagined and Repainted Liberal Theology

Dr. Walter Martin once pointed out in his message The Cult of Liberalism back in the mid eighties that people like these I’m warning you about look like us, they talk like us and they use our terminology. But when you break it down they have pumped out all of its original meaning until all that’s left is a hollow shell of Christianity. And this neo-liberal cult of the Emergent Church is doing the exact same thing. However, just as with the original Cult of Liberal Theology, it is impossible to “prove” all of this beyond a shadow of a doubt and these people know it.

Dr. Martin was commissioned to personally study every seminary in the country that had had ended up turning from the historic, orthodox Christian faith and becoming liberal. Now just take a look at his firsthand description of what happens the moment a church or a denomination moved away from the inerrancy of Scripture:

The major denominational structures in the United States today have pumped out all of the meaning of Christian terminology and have nothing but a hollow shell. And people are attracted by the shell because it’s the history and tradition of the Church. It’s not until they get in there that they find out that there aren’t sheep behind the pulpits there are wolves in sheep’s clothing who know not God and obey not the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Every major theological seminary that has turned from orthodox Christianity began with disbelief of Biblical doctrine. There wasn’t a single exception. This corrupt Bibliology then lead them to the next step. Their Theology began to be touched by it, their view of the Cross, the Virgin Birth were both immediately questioned; then came the miracles of Christ. And finally they had emptied the Gospel of all its content; they were simply using the outward shell so that they go on collecting money from the people and the churches; because they knew that if the people in the pew knew that they were apostate, they’d throw them out. So the strategy was hang on to the trust funds; hang on to the money we’ve got; hang on the properties we control, and we will gradually educate the laymen into this new approach to theology.

And then finally we will take control of everything. The gradual process of feeding you theological poison until you become immunized enough so that you don’t know what’s happening to you. And when you wake up to what’s happening to you, it’s too late they’ve got everything. That is not a baseless charge, I stand prepared to prove that the Cult of Liberal Theology in the United States has deliberately and consistently followed this methodology to entrap, control and dominate the denominations and the churches of the United States and our educational institutions. The study with Mr. Pugh confirmed the fact that once the Theology became corrupt, gradually then the view of Christ Himself underwent change. (The Cult of Liberalism, CD Rom, side 1)

The Call To Battle

Do you feel it? I believe the Lord has just declared war on this Emergent menace to the Body of Christ. O those with ears to hear can sense it in the Spirit as things are beginning to heat up intensely. The battle is now on against this Emergent Church Movement, you’ll just know that Christ has called His true children to begin manning our stations. I see it in writings around the Net and I can hear it selected sermons. Now listen to His Spirit, can you feel the urgency as Christ Jesus desperately tries to tell His nearly comatose Church that time is running out?

Men and women, the time has come for you personally to begin to speak out to leaders at your own local level. Don’t you see it yet? This blatant rebellion against the authority of the Bible within the Ecumenical Church of Deceit simply mirrors her mother the apostate Church of Rome. To quote Dr. Martin one final time: “This is Christianity? No, this is madness, and you know what we’ll be if we don’t do something about it? Stupid; sinful and guilty.”

In 1925 T.S. Eliot wrote a very telling poem called “The Hollow Men.”

We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
Or rats’ feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar

Shape without form, shade without colour,

Paralysed force, gesture without motion…

You may rest assured that these hollow men so proudly touting their hollow theology from within their Emergent Church will one day be exposed by the Lord for what they really are…

You put off the evil day and bring near a reign of terror. You lie on beds inlaid with ivory and lounge on your couches. You dine on choice lambs and fattened calves. You strum away on your harps like David and improvise on musical instruments.

You drink wine by the bowlful and use the finest lotions, but you do not grieve over the ruin of Joseph. Therefore you will be among the first to go into exile; your feasting and lounging will end. (Amos 6:3-7)
