Being Apprising Ministries is one the few writing about the Emerging Church aka Emergent Church, now morphing into Emergence Christianity, a source close to AM alerted us that on his public Facebook Profile today Ergun Mehmet Caner announced:

Yea, you get the idea. He is teaching Theology of the Emerging Church this Fall at Liberty Bapt. Seminary. Move to Lynchburg this summer.

Here’s what Dr. Caner, whose Twitter bio informs us is, “Pres/Dean-Liberty Baptist Seminary; Prof -Apologetics/Theology; Married w/2 boys; Site-specific extrovert, Christian grump. 16 books. Confrontational. Sarcastic” said there:

The assumption right now is that the class would not be supporting the EC.

*Update* I wish to thank Dr. Caner for his making the time to contact me here at AM. He confirms that this upcoming course at LBTS is not going to be supportive of the Emerging Church.
