WOMAN “PASTOR” AND HER PRAYER SHTICK DRAWING MEDIA ATTENTION

The following is a vivid illustration of what I’m talking about in the Apprising Ministries  article Evangelicalism Powered By Man And Not By The Holy Spirit. From the Christian Wire we learn:

Pastor Suzette Caldwell, Board Chair and President of The Prayer Institute and Associate Pastor of Windsor Village United Methodist Church, has been in demand from major ministry television programs such as “Hour of Power”, Trinity Broadcasting Network’s “Praise the Lord” hosted by Pastor Paula White, nationally syndicated “Yolanda Adams Morning Show” and nationally syndicated “Living Well” show discussing the “Model Prayer” that delivers results. (Online source)

So right off the bat we have this rebel against the Word of God, for the Bible-impaired this means she’s in sin, pretending to be a teaching elder. But no matter to the Hour of Heresy of Robert Schuller or the Trinity Blasphemy Network, bowing before another poser, “pastor” Paula White. As long as her shtick “delivers results” [read: makes $$$] these bastions of blasphemy within evanjellyfish are all too happy to join the harlot in bed.

According to this press release the UMC “pastor”:

Caldwell is becoming a respected authority in Christian media as she continues her work with The Prayer Institute. Pastor Suzette Caldwell and her husband, Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell, continue development of a master plan community in Southwest Houston called Pointe 2.3.4. (Online source)

Her prayer shtick is she as shares:

the principles of the “Model Prayer”, which she also refers to as the “Kingdom Prayer”. She noted how the “Model Prayer” helped her to overcome breast cancer. It also was instrumental in executing “A Day for O.N.E.” event which received one million online hits in a single day… ”The Model Prayer is known by most people as the Lord’s Prayer found in Matthew 6″, says Caldwell. “It has been a rock in every aspect of my ministry. It is through this model of praying that I have met with the Lord and understood his purpose for my life on this earth.” (Online source)

Interesting to note that the praying “pastor” attributes the alleged healing to the prayer rather than the Lord she claims to have met. Well, I have news for her; if Caldwell had actually had a conversation with Jesus she would have repented of her sin and given the glory to Him. But this is the future of apostatizing evangelicalism and its rebellion against Sola Scriptura. Without the objective Word of God to test those who arise prophesying to you a false vision, divination, futility and the deception of their own minds (Jer. 14:14) more and more very gullible professing Christians will be taken in.

But while God may sovereignly choose to answer prayer and bless His Word as it’s preached for His own purposes, it’s not because of, but rather in spite of, poser “pastors” like Caldwell. Because this is what the Lord says to those who pray to Him while in unrepentant sin — your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear (Isaiah 59:2). Caldwell is right now among those who are holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; you’ll do well to — Avoid such as these (2 Timothy 3:5).
