Ya know folks you just can’t make this stuff up. Ok, so I’m minding my own business the other night—which contrary to my critics I do once and a great while—and all of a sudden I get the following email:

Wow, and it turns out that this joint *ahem* rolling paper um, letter, is from “Right Reverend Gregory Karl Davis” himself who just happens to be “founding bishop” of Cheech and Chong’s Church — oops, make that The Universal Orthodox Church of the holy weed. And I’m honored, I guess, because his Civil Death was back in 1996.

But I keep telling you it’s only a matter of time before some in the Emerging Church so anxious to find a way to justify smoking pot ah, experience God in “the Other,” will start sharing a bong; I mean, sharing the peace pipe with “churches” like this. You watch…
