JULIE JONES

I received this at Apprising Ministries earlier today. Please note, just as with the other email from Mrs. Jones I published the other day, she asked me to place what follows online.

In my reply I said to her, without a doubt I am sorry for everything I have done which would not be Christ-like. I can also assure you in the Lord that I do not hate you, Tony, or anyone for that matter.

Dear Ken, Paula and Ingrid,

Love and blessings to you. Let us today post this on your various sites, atone the hate and start the love of Christ, that we all want to emulate. let us today, start talking lovingly and respectfully and “kill the hate” between us once and for all.
What do you say?
I am sorry for the sins I committed last week in being less than Christ-like towards you. I am sorry before you and my God for the hateful thoughts that entered my mind. I really had intended for good conversation, mutual respect, and new friendships formed. It didn’t go at all the way that I had initially intended. I wrote my letter to remind you that the person I love is a real person with thoughts, feelings and emotions and words can hurt and even be ungodly and hateful if not careful. I am waiting to hear from my lawyer if you did indeed break the law and I will let you know by sending you a letter. I will not press charges as that is not good for my soul and I wish you no harm.
For my part in the hate an ugliness that surfaced in the blogoshpere, I am sorry. For the hate that surfaced by others who observed the spectacle and jumped on-board and aren’t even Christians, I am even sorrier. The atheist who blogged about Christians in a circle shooting at each other was convicting wasn’t it?
Shame on us! We did nothing to advance God's kingdom last week, and that is sad that we had an opportunity to witness to a non believer and instead he laughed at us.
Thankfully our Lord forgives when we humbly ask for forgiveness. We can make this thing right and I am willing to do my part. How about you?
May God continue to use you for good and not evil and may all of the brokenness be healed for the good of the whole church body. Christmas is a time of new beginnings and full of possibility. “In Him all things are possible.”
We can change this climate of animosity but we will need to admit are roles in the fiasco and humbly soften first. I know you can do it! We can be friends and your voice toned down really has a place in the Emergent conversation. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
Let us respectfully disagree, start the conversation, and call each other friend.
Your sister in Christ Jesus,
Julie McMahon Jones
*I’d like to send you an x-mas card, can i get your address or that of your church?
