Here’s yet another example of the grave danger that your youth are in spiritually with emerging vipers who deny the genuine Gospel like Rob Bell. Unwilling to make any kind of real stand for God's Word they instead let pseudo-Christians like Rob Bell infect the young among their flocks with the poison of his spiritistic mumbo jumbo in Christian terms.

I also use this opportunity as pastoral advisor as well as contributor at Slice to say that I do praise our glorious and majestic Lord that He's enabled me to stand there with people of God like Ingrid Schlueter and Steve Camp and my friend Chris Pajak. And O, it was such a blessing for me to see Steve’s post that appeared below mine The Emerging Tulip...pretending to be orthodox, for this is exactly what these heretics in the Emergent Church are doing. Can you really not see that they are yet another fulfillment of Paul's tearful warning in Acts 20:29-30 about spiritually spineless pretenders who are trying to draw away disciples after themselves.

And so again, this time here at Apprising Ministries, I heartily commend Steve Camp’s courage today because it’s long past time for someone of his stature within the Body of Christ to have finally called out these Hollow Men of the Emergent Church with their empty shell of Christianity for exactly what they are – pretenders/hypocrites. For example, this is what I have been saying in the Lord for some time now. And if Steve’s got the better voice for you and if he’s got the better words for you and if he’s got the better links for you…then for Christ’s sake you’d better listen to him!

Personally, it makes absolutely no difference to me whatsoever. For I happen to be in complete agreement with the prince of preachers Charles Spurgeon who once said: “To be despised and rejected of men is the Christian’s lot. Among his fellow Christians he will not always stand in good repute. It is not unmitigated kindness nor unmingled love that we receive even from the saints.” But I can tell you this, those of you who have been hiding in the shadows while reading AM and Slice have zero excuse before God for your continued silence while this Emergent cancer continues metastasizing throughout your churches.

The absolute truth is that all every one of you who have ended up following these fools right now are actually in the process of doing is emerging into the new cult of liberalism. You didn’t listen to Dr. Walter Martin either when he told you circa 1980’s that the original cult of liberalism killed the mainline denominations. Well, you’d better wise up to the fact that this new and even more deadly Contemplative Spirituality within the Emergent Church is right now killing your mainstream evangelical denominations and seminaries. And in the eyes of God you keep your silence at your own peril.

The actual fact is, even if men like me never sounded another warning to you, then know this: Your blood is already on your own head. Do you seriously wonder why there are not more of us pastor-teachers who are speaking out today? Because we are largely ignored and way unsupported financially. Have you really even the most remote of ideas what it costs us? Then why not make the time to read Important Battle Prayer Alert and see what men like me face in service to our King. Oswald Chambers told the young men studying under him what it means to be real servants of God unlike the cowering cardboard caricatures of today:

“My goal is God Himself… At any cost, dear Lord, by any road.” “At any cost, by any road” means nothing self-chosen in the way God brings us to the goal. There is no possibility of questioning when God speaks if He speaks to His own nature in me; prompt obedience is the only result.

When Jesus says – “Come,” I simply come; when He says – “Let go,” I let go; when He says – “Trust in God in this matter,” I do trust. The whole working out is the evidence that the nature of God is in me. (My Utmost for His Highest, 239)

Today I do warn you in the Spirit that you had best soon come to recognize this time you are now living in or you too will be swept away in these rapidly growing deceptions. Put down your useless books of men’s musings and see for yourself what the inerrant and infallible Word of God has to say – to you, right now. And yes, my local church is but 4 or 5, but you may also wish to consider how many the Lord gives me to preach to via Slice and here at AM, a website Christ literally gave me. As Paul asked: For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? (Galatians 1:10); I’ll leave that for you to figure out.

But I must also be obedient, and so as we watch for an emerging evangelical corpse, I simply must tell you that this is what the Lord says to all of you who choose to ignore the Spirit’s clear warnings and continue to follow the foolish who persist in bowing before the people-pleasing pragmatic idol of evangelicalism:

“Fill up, then, the measure of the guilt of your fathers.” (Matthew 23:32)
