After this, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. 2 There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all the Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them, 3 and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them.

4 Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks. 5 When Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ. (Acts 18:1-5)

Calling My Silas’ And Timothys’

One will notice from verse 5 above that after Silas and Timothy came from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself exclusively to preaching. And so this is a call for the Lord to send me His spiritual Silas’ and Timothys that I might now answer the call Christ has placed in my heart to leave my secular job to follow Him by faith. It seems good in the Spirit that the time has arrived for me to devote myself exclusively to this work of tremendous importance in the Lord here at Apprising Ministries and to the house church where I am pastor but unfortunately is too small to offer much at all in the way of financial support.

For those who don’t know all of the work of this internet ministry is done by my wife Donna and myself because there is no staff. We sincerely thank all of you very much who have been contacting Apprising Ministries this past year and for sharing all your kind words and testimonies of what God has done through AM. Of course the few faithful financial supporters who have stood with us each month thus far remain dear to us as well. And because the apostasy is continuing to spread this kind of discernment work is taking some pretty heavy fire from enemy forces which is further reason these people mean all the more to us.

So we thank you again for making the time to write AM and to support this work because this says much about your own commitment to join in the fight for God’s Truth. I covet your prayers for the Lord to open up the funding base for me as I follow His call into this work here at AM on a fulltime basis within the next couple of weeks. Right now we are praying about the future of the ministries which the Lord has entrusted to me and has me involved with. I’m currently seeking the Lord as to how best to handle an already heavy work load that is even on the increase.

We are receiving a growing number emails daily as the readership has now grown to over 1500 a day. The Lord be praised but the Apprising Ministries website has become virtually a full time job in itself. If you have ever considered becoming a regular weekly or monthly financial supporter this would be the time to do so. Perhaps our biggest problem right now is that people may be thinking that someone else will do it. And of course as usual we ask you to at least join us to pray faithfully for AM as I do my utmost to produce articles with vital information to apprise and equip Christians for the growing intensity of the spiritual battle for God’s absolute Truth.

As I mentioned in God’s Word Is Truth the war is not only raging outside the Body of Christ it is also becoming most fierce even within the Church itself. And remember also that in another way your financial gift does help bring support to Slice of Laodicea where I am pastoral advisor as well as a contributing writer. These letters such as the following, which I literally received today, do underscore the need for me to launch the speaking end of AM immediately. This way I will be able to go into these areas which need to hear firsthand about the neo-liberal cult of the Emergent Church as well as the many other deceptions facing the remnant of Christ today.

I've been reading your articles for some time now, and just wanted to write and thank you for all that God is commanding you to do! Where I live is quite affected by the emerging cult McLaren, Jones, Pagitt. The church I belong to was not too long ago was a Bible-based Church committed to the Word. It is absolutely fascinating to watch it decay into contemplative and emergent. I have been sounding trumpets of reason and doctrine now for a couple of years, and finally not allowed to participate other than attending and actually been asked to leave. Interesting that emergent promotes tolerance except for those who question the content of the "conversation".

My wife and I were quite involved with this church for many many years. This even affects my children. What has occurred in just the last few years is absolutely mind-blowing! This cult is powerful and hides well behind its bent doctrine. It's no wonder that Scripture warns us that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. I don't think people realize that Satan can make himself look almost exactly like Jesus - he's the master of disguises. Those of us who talk like this are sure to be slapped a sticky on your back "Fundy Conspiracy Theorist". Keep it up! I certainly intend to!!

I am writing to you, quite simply to ask for prayer. I found out this Sunday that the Atlantic Baptist Mission Board has invited Brian McLaren to speak at the Oct. convention for pastors and leaders. I am sickened by this and I know the Lord wants me to write a letter of protest and warning. I trust God for wisdom, but this is spiritual warefare and I believe you understand this and know what to ask of God better than me.

I am also asking your permission to point to your website,as a place of reference to those I send this letter to. If you like I will e-mail you a copy of the letter, after I compose and send it. Thank you for your time.

The Guns Of The Approaching Enemy

Beloved, I am now firmly convinced that this is why God raised up AM for such a time as this. May the Lord richly bless you as consider becoming a regular weekly or monthly supporter of Apprising Ministries.
