BROKEN WINGS

Round and round, round and down; seems that's how it's supposed to be.
Spinnin’, spinnin’, shakin’ free; seems that’s all that happens to me...

And I get ‘em; and they fly –
I fix their broken wings, just to watch ‘em fly...

Seeing smiles as they span those miles, I guess I find a little piece of mine;
But if that’s true, then why these fears; I’ve cried so long, so many tears...

And when at last my work is done; I feel love, but I’m the only one.
So now I’m off to chase again, a broken wing; I think I’ll make me a friend...

And I get ‘em; and they fly –
I fix their broken wings, just to watch ‘em fly...
